Our coatings are based upon the bio-based material – Cellulose Nano Crystals (CNC), that we produce through a unique patented protected process, using wood pulp and side streams of the paper industry as raw materials.

Melodea spearheads the development of recyclable, compostable and biodegradable barrier coatings as sustainable alternatives to materials widely used in flexible packaging.

Our ground-breaking coatings protect packaged food and consumer products from oxygen, oil, and water vapor as effectively as other existing solutions on the market – yet are fully recyclable.

Our unique formulae, allow compatibility to a large variety of paper and plastic substrates and can be easily integrated into existing industrial converting and coating production lines.
